Rent Spanish / French house for 6-12 months

I am looking for a 2-3 bed house/apartment to rent for 6-12 months as I am hoping to go over to Spainor France to teach English. What are the best places to view rentals, what are the price ranges and are there Irish people with houses to rent considering the boom has gone etc.

Holiday Homes Direct is good as is Owners Direct and there's a fairly substantial section on Daft as well.
