paint for damp walls/ceiling

    Need to paint a ceiling that is black with damp. nothing can be done structuraly - old house. whats the best thing to do. its a small conservatory attached to kitchen.

    You sure its not condensation? Many people I've come across think this is dampness!

    Wash down surface with that green bottle of detol with anti-bacterial in it. Its meant to be better than the funcide wash thats recommended. Try and get better ventilation in the room or buy a dehumidifer. You can buy paints especially for mould that MRCB paint shop in Dublin city center supply. Its around €60 in a 4litre can I think.
