they are the biggest bunch of hypocrites ever, just look at the fuss they raised about "possible" corpo tax raises due to Lisbon when they in turn "want" to raise corpo tax


as someone whos after paying 14K in corpo tax for a company, the taught horrifies me

if the likes of SF comes to power, say bye bye to yet another small business employing Irish people in ITC positions, a company thats clinging on there during these tough times due to foresight of having build up a cash reserve, talking to other directors SF in power would be worse than this Recession x10 times for business and employment in this country

last thing we need are these Nutcases coming to power :eek:

Out of interest when did Hitler describe himself as left-wing? Link to the statement please. Also, please stop inferring that socialists are nazis, its getting old now. There's mud that could easily be thrown at your political position, but its petty and silly, and more is expected I feel.

He didn't. He said that Nazi's were socialist. From an extreme libertarian few that is correct, although the more useful term is statist.

But so what? the Nazi's crime was not to increases the size of the State, but mass murder. Just because the Nazi's did it does not make it wrong - like building the autobahn etc.

Libertarians use this kind of argument all the time, a form of right wing violation of Goodwin's laws. For instance did you know the Nazi's promoted healthy food and exercise? Ergo ( they argue) promotion of healthy food and exercise is fascist.

This is nonsense, of course, acts of government stand as either moral or immoral on their own regard, not on whether the Nazi's did it. It is immoral to organise kristalnacht, or to seize all the kulaks wealth, it is not immoral to tax business to promote social equality, and so on.

Increasing the size of the State != Naziism.

I've not read the whole thread, but, for better or worse the entire world is moving a little to the left.
barrack obama is a case in point, by our standards he is very much right wing, but by American standards.......

you can argue that the governments \ bankers are to blame for where we are now, but at the end of the day, we all got fat on money that didn't exist.
We now have to take the pain.
The outcome of will invariably lead to a demand that our government looks after the interests of the people & not big business.
Its probably for the best, because it'll be a long time before we see double digit growth figures again, if ever
