Ok, the idea for this thread comes from the R.E.M. thread I started in the Alt/Indie forum where I mentioned I wished I could've seen them in the early/mid 80's

So, what are the acts you wish you could have seen but missed because you were too young/not born or just weren't aware of them at the time. Can be bands that are still going that you would like to have seen at an earlier stage of their career.

As well as REM, i'd love to have seen

    The Clash circa 1979
    The Velvet Underground circa 1967
The Smiths at anytime during their existence.

Saw them play live in the mid-'80s down the country.

    At the Drive-In.
NIN's Lights in the Sky tour last year. Herd that was the last major tour of NIN and they wouldn't be doing any more tours of such scale in the future.

I would love to see THE USED live watching them on a tv screen doesn't seem to have the same effect as seeing them perform. and when you get all pumped up and start jumping about break something in the house and get kicked out it loses its appeal

    Queen w/Freddie

Harry Chapin, I know he played in Dublin a few times but I was to young to fully appreciate him then.

Definately The Clash around the era of Give 'em enough Rope/London Calling.
Guns N' Roses circa. Appetite of Destruction era.

    They would have been awesome.
