Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone!

Got our Hunter Herald installed last week and I'd appreciate any help anyone here can give on the best way to have it set.

There are two vents on the bottom below the doors (where the ash tray is)
A vent above the door and the damper.

What way should these be set for maximum efficiency??

If you have the model number you could google for the manual. Just searhc fro "Hunter stove model xyz manual" and you should get soemthing.

I suspect the bottom vents are for starting a wood fire and later once it is well on its ways you open the top vent and mostly close the bottom vents - so that the air hits the fire form the top now. Reason is to combust the gas which comes off the wood - otherwise this will drift off up the chimney.
