According to the Irish Times on Saturday Berty O Ahern is currenty travelling Central America giving lectures on Irelands great economic success. With tickets being charged at $150, and “formal dress code” and cocktails were served after Senor Bertie’s speech. As if the state pension is not enough.…

Presumably their cousins in "El Norte" did and that is why he is not getting his greatest wish of being asked to speak on the (formerly - not sure now) lucrative North American circuit about "Ireland's Economic Miracle". Of course he can still try and lug around the "I brought peace to Northern Ireland" mantle, to people who have not read this and this.
