Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ah crap, Ronnie Whelan is on the panel, he's only uttered 10 sentences and already my head is about to explode.

2 minutes into the RTE coverage and I already wanted slam Ronnie Whelan's head repeatedly into the desk :)

Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Cannavaro, Pepe, Heinze, Robben, Lass, Gago, Marcelo, Raúl, Higuaín.

Marcelo over Sneijder is a surprise.

Why do they always trundle out this "if your fit for the bench, your fit to start" line, when its clearly not true.

If you haven't been able to train fully for 3 weeks then you're probably not fit to put everything in for 90, or even 60minutes, but could probably give 30minutes at the highest level before waning. So it obviously makes sense to have these 30mins at the end of the game...

I predict Ronnie is about to reel off a list of Rafa's bad transfers.

    EDIT: WAHEY, I was right.

So Ronnie reckons Rafa has 'lost the fans'?

What are the odds some Rafa chants from the away support tonight then, Ronnie? And will you take back what you said when you hear them bellowing it out, like they do week, after week, after week?

lol i'm loving the Pool fans reaction to Dunphy and the boyos.

    96777.jpg

I'm hoping for a good game tonight anyway, 2-0 to Real.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,326 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Looking forward to this one. It's a pity Gerrard didn't make it back for it.

I read somewhere Torres has never performed as he is capable off against Real when he was at Athletico,

But i have a feeling he will have a big game tonight, if his team mates can feed him.

Am a Blackburn fan myself, but will be cheering on Liverpool tonight,

    Good Luck

Dunphy is predicting Liverpool being able to frustrate Madrid because of their mediocre players; Ronnie thinks Liverpool are certs to progress over two legs; and Giles reckons it will be dull with few chances...

    :(:(:(:(:(

    Madrid 5 - 0 so, we're screwed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

    Should be a fun game.

I think in this tie, based on the teams, Madrid will win this leg.

  • Registered Users Posts: 465 ✭✭coco06

very fast start... madrid goin for the throat.. we need to get the ball a bit more and slow it down..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Diarra winning the early squabbles in the middle of the park

  • Registered Users Posts: 465 ✭✭coco06

good to see the ref seems strong and not falling for the likes of Heize's calls..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

wtf, that was a nuts tackle, coulda be a red even, and it wasn't given anything. No wonder Robben was pissed.

OT: If there is one thing the Premiership does wrong, it's Captain's armbands. Raul's is class - big, black with a visible replica of the club crest. In Italy, they have the Unicef bands. Those tiny strips with the premiership logo on them are rubbish...
