Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is the camera I'm getting next though :)

I've an e-410 and this is perfect, better VF, more AF points, swivel screen, the new sensor and uses the same batteries as I have already.

I've been reading about it all day on dpreview

I've an E3 and a 520, so I'm hanging on for the E4 or E5 or whatever they're gonna call it. Hope it's not too long.

I think I'll pick up the 9-18mm lens soon. I'm hearing some pretty spectacular things about it - pro level IQ, standard level price. It's less than 20% of the price of the 7-14.

Superb lens by the sounds of things, with some double aspherical element or other. The review on DPR last week was glowing

I had my eye on a possible upgrade to the E30, seems as if the E620 is most of that camera for roughly half the price, dunno what I might do now.

For me the e-620 makes the most sense as it's cheaper has most of the features of the e-30 and it uses the same batteries as the e-410 I have now.

Just thinking aloud, if I could get the E620 and the 9-14 for the same money (assuming I actually have some money) as the E30, then I'd really have to think.....

Definitely get the E620. And there is no 9-14, I take it you mean 9-18?

The E30 was such an odd release. I've no idea what Olympus was thinking of.

yea was looking at the E620 there this morning and it looks very good especially like the swivel screen and 5fps.

Never the less don't think it will be on my shopping list any day soon.

From what I read in the brochure, 5 fps is for the e-30. The e-620 does 4 fps.
Have the prices for the 620 been released for Ireland yet? I'm curious to see where they start it at and how long it takes to drop. I just bought it in Japan as it's been out for a few months. Because Olympus recycled the body of the e-410, grabbed some good bits from the e-30, the development costs were minimal. That's why there's such a gap between it and the e-30. And with the release of the latest Canon (has video), the prices have been going down fast. I got the e-620 body + 14-42 mm lens + 40-150 mm lens + the HLD5 battery grip for 760.00 Euro. This does not mean that it is bad camera. On the contrary, Japanese forums are going nuts about it. It's just an awesome camera for a lot less money that one would think given the specs.

Just saw the E-620 + ED 14-42 mm f/3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens for € 801 Inc. VAT for sale in Pixmania - http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/2704316/art/olympus/e-620-ed-14-42-mm-f-3-5-5.html?article=2704316&affiche=accessoire . As I am after this camera for my wife, does anyone know whether this is a good deal or not?

    Thanks:)

Just a query on where to buy an Olympus e520, has anyone ever bought from Fotosense in the UK http://www.fotosense.co.uk?

I have no idea how reliable they are but the prices look OK. While you are buying it have a look at the twin lens kit, at roughly £60 extra for the 40-150 lens it's a steal.

Just bought the E520 from fotosense for £440 for the twin lens kit so I should have it by Tuesday. Fingers crossed:D
