Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone out there know of a good place to buy pre-cut 20x16" photomounts, either in Dublin or online?

I used to get them in camera club, but they haven't had any for a few weeks now, and also I wouldn't mind trying to lay my hands on some of the fancier materials with those waffle-like textures on them. Cheers...

Try framingfantastic.co.uk They are reasonably cheap and are based just outside Belfast. They also deliver.

You could buy full sheet mount board for about €6.50 per sheet and the tools (ruler and mount cutter) for about €50 from Sisslings in Stillorgan industrial estate or Glenwood mouldings in Newtown Mount Kennedy, Co Wicklow
I've never seend ready-made mounts over A4. I do all my own mouting and it works out pretty cheap.

Cheers Daragh - I do my own window-mounting but have been using pre-cut 20 x 16 boards that I get thru camera club for €1.20 each. I bought a Logan 301S cutter this week off of ebay and that has a straight cutter as well, so i might give it a go. Although the site that Ballyman recommended (framingfantastic) seem to be very reasonable and do discounts once you order over 9 mounts.

if you have a decent mount cutter and the time, then the cheapest way is for you to buy sheets of mountboard

glenwood in newtownmountkennedy have sme of the colourmount board on special at 3.80 +vat a sheet, you will get 4 20*16 out of that

sisslings have two different boards and one is 6.60 +vat the other is 3.80 +vat

framing fantastic have a computer mount cutter and so can sell then very cheap as is takes the machine around 30 secs to cut 4

for me two do it manually would take about 30 mins so i wouldnt be as cheap

but if your stuck do give me a shout

the other part you need is the backing board, which there are 2 or 3 diff ones, the one i prefer is called kraftliner or corrie board, its 2.90 + vat for a sheet which will do 4 20*16 mount backing.
