If you see a forum that doesn't have regular mods. i.e they are very traffic forums that nearly run themselves, is it possible to apply to become a mod, or do you have to be selected? I won't name any particular forums in case any mods think I am singling them out but you know what I mean. Some of the regional forums are…

You could always throw your name in the hat the next time an AH mod slot opens up.
I was banned from there two or three times before they made me mod. That may have been a punishment though.

Not really anxious to become a mod. I was just reading through the Vexborg thread yesterday and was curious as to the set up of boards and how things worked.

I did notice that the Offaly forum is moderated by 2 dubs and a longford guy. Just got me wondering where the criteria for mods came about.

I think the AH mod job (one of the most intensive imo) is a bit beyond me. Trying to keep up with two or three threads at a time is alike a full time job in there. I seriously don't know how so few of ye handle it.
