Anyone know of a healthy low-carb curry sauce I can buy or perhaps a reciepe I can try ... would make the wholegrain rice and chicken go down so much easier.

If you're on a diet you could just stir fry chucken with garlic or chili and a few veggies. You only need to use a little olive oil. Tastes great and garlic and chili is good for the metabolism as well. Will keep you feeling full for longer

Curry sauce need not be calorie dense. A lot of the hotter ones are just tomato based with little oil and no cream etc. Since they are so hot you can just use a little too. You can get curry pastes too, these are really cheap in asian shops.

Anyone know any easy way to make curry sauce? One without 20 ingredients? There must be a basic way to make it.

Tin of chopped tomatoes or some yoghurt, plus curry powder. For a little more flavour fry in some onions first and add in some other spices - cumin, coriander, paprika etc then throw in your meat until bronwed, and add the tomatoes or yoghurt :)

So fry a bit of onion and add curry powder. Then add a couple of spices. And then add the meat and then the onions. Would that be right?

That would make both the curry and the sauce.

What about if I just wanted to make the sauce?

You want to put all your onions in first - I always do at least. If you're not doing meat then just put in the tomato/yoghurt when the onions are starting to brown (don't have them on too high, medium heat should be grand). Enjoy :)

been using knorr hot curry sauce for years, its great, tried the mc donnells one yesterday, its not nice.dunnes stores and tesco are out of knorr sauce at the moment.if you like onions with your curry cut them longways, not in rings, put them on the pan with some virgin oil,and toss some suger on them.when fried add them on to the curry sauce, use brown rice ,the fibre is better for you.

He wanted low-carb curry sauce, adding sugar would defeat the point ;)
