    Hi everyone

Just wanted to inform you about this brilliant idea from the RIAI and the Simon Communities of Ireland - it might be perfect for those of you planning to do some work on your current homes instead of moving home.

The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) and the Simon Communities of Ireland are holding the fifth annual nationwide “Simon Open Door Day” on Saturday, 7th March 2009.

In exchange for a €75 donation to Simon, members of the public will get an opportunity to have a one-hour consultation with an RIAI architect. And every single cent of this goes to help the homeless.

Hundreds of RIAI members are participating throughout the country and members of the public can book a slot with their chosen architect via www.simonopendoor.ie.

It's a brilliant idea - every cent goes to the homeless - and you get great professional design advice as well - so ideas on planning, sustainability, design, and project costs. It's a great way to get started on a project.....

Hope some of you like the idea...
