Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey all,

I was just wondering is there any way to make XP dsktops look really futuristic, bar getting a spacey type wallpaper but is there any way to perhaps have some sort of interactive desktop and when you minimize windows they minimize in a weird way and have interesting icons or whatever!

sorry that post isnt the clearest but i'd love something really interesting. So far i have an automatic wallpaper changer that rotates wallpapers every few seconds!

    Anything else??

    Thanks!

Take a look at this thread for a few ideas. Some good stuff out there and some of the desktops in the thread should give you a good idea what you can do easily enough.

needs no additional applications or hacks as it is a MS theme

Try a system restore, choose the option "Loads last known good configuration" when the machine shows the boot options screen with safe mode etc...

In my experience repair install NEVER works.
How far are you getting when you boot, I assume you are getting to the advanced windows startup screen when you hit F8 on startup (and have tried all the options)?

    Yes, that sounds right.
The supplier can't take responsibility for the multitude of ways people screw up their computers trying to make them look cool.
