Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ainu - sorry to hear about your job :( I hope your trip is a little relief for you.

Upstairs neighbor was having yet another, small but potent, party last night and the front door got broken in. We called the police because someone was banging on our flat door at quarter to 4 in the morning and now our neighbor is mad at us for calling the police.

We really need to move, this place is beyond rediculous.

I went out with only €40 last night, €15 to get into Cubins, i bought 2 pints and 3 southern comforts, a mega meal deal from Hillbillys and cab home. :D

    And i still have €17 :O:pac:

Ended up in Cubins myself last night, much needed break from Havannah Browns.

    hello,

is it just me........or is cork city a pain in the hole to navigate through??

was trying to get from limerick city via cork to bandon...but i found the signage very poor and road layout poor as well, took me the best part of an hour to get out of the city (having made several wrong turns) think i'll go via macroom next time:cool:

Go to HBs or similar most weekends, putting off the likes of Crane Lane, Bodega etc for as long as possible but at 29 it's becoming inevitable :(

    Probably just you :p (not)
From Limerick if you come in the main road and into Cork City you will end up at the Opera House, if you go left there along to the Bus Station you are very close to the South Link which will bring you out West to Bandon. However I have no doubt it is badly signposted.

Or before you come to the River swing left (at the strip club) which will bring you on to McCurtain Street, then cross the River there and you are close to the Bus Station again, close to the link road.

Best thing may be at Blackpool to head up the North ring, then through the tunnel and out to West Cork. Not the quickest way but you avoid the city and it's a main road.

yes, thats what i "eventually" did.......but as i said the signage was poor and at those large roundabouts you don't which lane to be in until the very last second:(

all i can say is...god help the tourists

Local knowledge is the thing - we wouldn't want to make it too easy . From the Dublin road the tunnel is your best bet, but from the Mallow road there's a short-cut down past a graveyard that brings you down towards the Anglers Rest and from there it's easy to get on the Ballincollig bypass for a quick 120k blast to the Bandon road roundabout. It'd be handy if I knew the name of the graveyard to key into a sat-nav :o

ha I know so everyone says. Well when I was abroad in Germany etc, I seemed to like city life. I was thinking I might live outside coastal town though and get Dart in to work.

I must find a job first though but there are 3000 so hopefully something haha.

Thanks, I'm all excited now. But I'm so indecisive. I could end up coming on this next week saying I'm staying in Cork!

Best of luck if you decide to move :) Dublin isn't too bad, lived there for over 2 years a good while ago. Is that 3000 a count of monster or similar for vacancies in your line of work ? If so grain of salt etc is required, same job is probably listed 40 or 50 times.

Ah yeah I'm taking them with grain of salt. Intel always there anyways and they were offering me job not too long ago as I'm a past employ there. But I'd rather go with a smaller company though, see more.

Thanks for all the comments people haha. But I'm more than likely going alright once I get an interview and sort one out. Fingers crossed.

Well, in my opinion there is no special good 80ś club. Just must keep eyes open for events in usual clubs/pubs.
Would like to go to 80ś party... havent heard of any lately... if anyone hears one, i wanna know too!!!

Nah things were working out but I just need change like. It's madness in one sense! But I won't be happy until I leave I'd say!
