Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was on the way in town earlier and passed the army bomb disposal with a few army jeeps and was thinking jaysus what had happened. Turned out to be this.

An Army Bomb Disposal Team has carried out a controlled explosion on a jar of picric acid in Co Cork.

The incident happened at the Bovine Blood Testing Laboratory in the Department of Agriculture offices on Model Farm Road this afternoon.

Three jars of the acid - which are commonly used in munitions and explosives - were removed from the facility after the contents of one had crystallised and become unstable.

The scene was declared safe at 4pm.

LOL. this could only happen in a govt dept, and the dept of agriculture appear to be worse than most dept's:rolleyes::p

Has anyone seen the christmas display in front of the old brewery on south main street. It looks absolutely stunning. Nice to see them putting in so much effort. Anybody know if its part of the christmas thing in the park and grand parade or what?

Ha did you stay in in the end RJ?

Morning all. I'd to hold onto the wall outside my house to get into my friends car this morning, driveway completely frozen over! However there were two kids in their PJs playing on a go-kart on the ice! :D

    Is anyone chancing town tonight?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,547 ✭✭✭Purple Lemons

Had a great time ice skating to work this morning at 5.30am . The walk took three times as long as it usually does. Had some very very close calls with the curb :P

Nope :D Out with a buddy and met up with folks from work in the Savoy, there were ladies in Santa suits :pac: :p

Yeah, one of the buddies is having 30th drinks so must head in, staying in depresses the arse of me to be honest at the weekend. Any weekend I wouldn't go to town I'd go to the local with Daddy RJ :)
