Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi old boy :)
Funnily enough I was thinking of your MG last Thursday or Friday, was driving past where I it used to be parked up. Brought a nice touch of class to the area :pac: You've not got rid of it so obviously ? Cork is cool but not as cool as Leinster (weatherwise :p ). May well be wandering off somewhere myself in a few months, f knows where though.

haha! - yeah still got it man. Feel awful paying insurance tax though when it parked up but I know i'd regret not having a car/tax/insurance if i got rid of it!

Dublin is very snowy alright! Can barely walk the streets here!

are you at least enjoying the snow? parked up is the best place for it with councils and community groups spreading salt everywhere

Ha ha girls in Santa suits!? Good night so? I'd two parties on Friday and Saturday but decided not to chance it with the roads! Stayed in and watched X factor. :o:D

Roads didn't seem too bad today where I am now. Finally moved from the North Mall! Delighted!!! Saw some kids on go-karts in their PJs at 6am over the weekend though.

    Happy monday!!

Good to hear you moved from The North Mall, wasn't ideal I imagine.

It had its good and bad points like everywhere but coming into the winter the bad points far outweighed the good.

I've spent the last couple of months getting loads of work done actually, it's mad what work you can do when you're not on boards! :o

Might not be convenient for you but I saw a very good looking (from the outside anyway) Santa/Winter Wonderland rig set up outside the Beamish and Crawford last weekend. I presume that it is still there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,088 ✭✭✭NoDice

Thanks Zachary Lively Restaurant, yeah the teddy factory looks great! We were going to buy one ourselves for the nieces but we're thinking they'll enjoy picking everything for the teddy themselves. :) 8ft Santa?????

Cool cheers lemag, is that the one in Bishop Lucy Park or is there one actually in the old brewery now? I could definitely go into town if it's better!

    Freezing this morning!! :(

It was located inside the gate of the brewery. Whether it's got anything to do with the goings on in Bishop Lucy I can't say. Doubt it though as surely the throwing of kids across the road would violate some sort of health and safety law thingy.

Man it's become so quiet in here!! Why aren't people spending their time on boards instead of working or socialising IRL anymore???:(:(:(

Be careful out there guys and gals. Just fell over on the ice and almost mashed my brains on the pavement!!!

Thank god for my thick woolly jumper and hat which cushioned the fall - as otherwise hospital food would have been on tonights menu

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,389 ✭✭✭FTGFOP

Jesus! Sorry to hear you fell, glad your brains are still fully contained! Was it boots you had on? I don't have any shoes with any real grip, I'm just very careful and lucky so far.

I was wearing decent working boots but I did not stand a chance. It was dark, the pavement was like a mirror AND on a 30 degree slope. I just felt my neck crack when I hit the deck and wondered if I was in deep trouble - but fortunately a sore head was the only result.

As for my brains - well maybe they were always wired in an unusual manner he he:D

I would hate to be on the same dance floor as you if you wear them to clubs!!

I did not black out but it was one hell of a body slam :(

Glad you're ok wispyman, sounds like an awful fall!!! Glad you still have your brains!!

I've been lucky so far, no grips on cons but still haven't fallen! Have however slipped too many times forcing my arms to flail about in the air like I'm guiding a plane down or something. :o And emit a loud high pitched "woooOOOoooooOOp!".

Morning all. Ha ha RJ I was just winding you up! Ms Cats gone to OZ? She's the right idea! Most the budget has done for students is to lower emigration rates. Not by much mind you. However, couldn't go to OZ with all those godzilla ninja spiders.

    TGIF!!!

Yep, them beetches be crazy! ;)

I saw christmas jumpers in accessorize actually! Like proper knitted ones with reindeer patterns etc but for dogs!! And leg warmers and scarves! Looked so cute, going to get them for the small one I'd say. Crack pot yes I know.

You can also take your dog to see santa in Carrigaline! That however even I thought was too far! :D

lol, not really into the doggy clothes but the ole lad got a jacket for the sister's dog last week. 'twas so cold she was stopping half way through her walk and heading home, poor thing is a bit dense though, Dad said one day he was more than half way around The Lough and she turned back and headed home the way she came, she ran in 50 m spurts and then waited for him to catch up :pac:

Awh he's gorgeous!!! And his wittle jacket is so so cute ooh boo boo!!! *cough* manly chuck norris gruff noises..

Really nice dog though! Yeah I take the GSD out with the little JRTx and the big fella is fine but the little one freaks out whining every now and again and stops and shivers until she's pulled along again. She has a water proof mac too with reflectors on it. :o:o

Top gear, soccer, boxing, scratching balls, more sports etc etc :o:o

Here's a picture of my dogs to distract you all from the weirdness of my last post.

Went by it during lunch today. It's a seperate thing from the Bishop Lucy extravaganza. It's called 'Santa's Secret Village' it's advertised as open from 12-8 every Friday, Saturday & Sunday and admission is €2 per person.
