I am looking for a list of the frequencies that are/will be used to broadcast the new DTT service from the various transmitters.

For the current analogue service there is an excellent website run by RTE networks listing every transmitter in Ireland but no technical info on the digital service.

Attached is the list of DTT frequencies published by ComReg in Aug 2007 in its Consultation Paper ComReg07/65 - Consultation on Digital Terrestrial Television Multiplex Licence Conditions. There is no better list available at the moment.

I have a related question - I bought a Samsung DTV & DVD player/recorder. With an ordinary aeriel the TV picks up a wonder digital reception on the poverty channels but I can't get the same on the DVD recorder. The recorder is picking up the digital radio stations (as does the teli) but not the digital stations (rte1/2/tv3/tg4/rte news/3e/rte junior). Are there channels for my manual tuning I can select and pop them into the DVD player?

Your DVD recorder is MPEG2 and will not pick up the Saorview (MPEG4) channels.

Though note some of that is not accurate now.

For example Crosshaven Co. Cork was originally to be a SFN (Single Frequency Network) with Spur Hill - but that was abandoned. Crosshaven got different channels for DTT.

Of course that post is over 2 years old now.

When I posted that I wasn't receiving any DTT, the test transmissions from Woodcock Hill and Mullaghanish started a few days later.

This is not entirely accurate yet..

I'm hoping to get an official list of 2nd and 3rd mux from RTE NL.
