hostel in sydney

    hi,

    can anyone please recommend a hostel in sydney to stay in

    preferable cheap 20 -30 dollars
    central
    hoping to cook, so a good kitchen

    will be staying there until i find permanent accommodation, also whats the best ways to find accommodation in sydney

    Eva's hostel just off Kings Cross. Lovely clean friendly place, nice kitchen, cool rooftop terrace for barbeques, and nice atmosphere. Also you're in a nice quiet residential area, and if you walk 4 or 5 minutes you're in the heart of the nightlife (albeit red light district, but it's a lot of fun!). One of the nicest places I've stayed at.

    Yeah kings X is the cheaper hostels, there is also a hostel in newtown which is about 20 per night, not as central as kings x .. called the abbey on king or http://www.billabonggardens.com.au/rates.html (145 per week / 25 per night)

    I also stayed here
    http://www.cairns.net.au/~hostel/rates.htm (that is sydney website believe it or not) and was good value overall and had a good nightlife
