Business higher level short questions 2008 - Q.10.

The answer is €54,000 but it says on the marking scheme that the law is the principle of Indemnity.

The value of the house never went down. He was just under insured. Therefore the principle of average clause applies surely?

Yeah, I thought that when I first read it too. Average clause isn't actually one of the principles though, it's just part of indemnity.
