Found a particularly nasty object in a yoghurt like drink before Christmas. The object in question would be the same diamater of a Euro coin, hollow with thickness exceeding 1" easily. It appears to have been cut and is quite sharp / serrated around the edges. It probably would of been fatal if it had of been consumed.

Contacted the company, they vistited an examined the object. They asked for a piece of the object for analysis. Came back from the lab that it was a type of plastic used in their bottles. Offered a small hamper as compensation.

Should I take the hamper, forget about it or pursue further?

What are you tying to gain from it?,

If just an apology and a token gesture from the company the hamper should be fine. But if your trying to teach them a lesson and gain thousands from what might of happened! you should employ a specialised solicitor used to dealing with company negligence cases from the stress your suffering and trauma. I'm sure that's the route some people would go down but as no damage was done I can't seem this working.

i would take the hamper as there was no damage done and it would be quite difficult to prove that you had nightmares about yoghurt drinks now or that you got physically sick whenever you passed the fridge in tesco's where these drinks are displayed

I think I'll take the hamper then.
