Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Players have slipped a couple of times now - either the surface is particularly slick or some of them have chosen the wrong studs for some reason...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Modric doing a passable impression of Modric at the European Championships thus far...

Spurs knocking at the door now. Funny how a game can change. Lennon is a one man team. Modric getting into some decent positions.

Ball seems to be holding up. Surface doesn't seem to be the best.

Anyone think there is something up with our defense at the moment, they dont seem to be on the same wavelength.

    Chance.

Lennon MotM thus far - Pav should have done a lot better with that delivery

    Poor cross from Zokora.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,084 ✭✭✭A7X

he was tryin to just put it in there for sumone to run across the goal and smack in.
I think he curled it too much

Ahh Zakora. Bad cross that time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Some good defending by Spurs at the moment. Keeping United out fairly well at the moment. I think Spurs will be the happiest at half time. Having started the game on the backfoot and now taking the game to United.

Mark Lawrenson on 5Live: "Evra has been as good as anybody this season, but Aaron Lennon is having him for toast"

Decent enough game so far. I think Spurs came into it much more as the game goes on and now it depends on what's said at half time. If Lennon could pick out a man there would probably have been a goal, but it's always been his weak point. Assou-Ekotto is playing very well and marshalling Ronaldo very well. If I were Ferguson, I'd stick Ronaldo onto the left wing as Corluka is much slower than Assou-Ekotto and he would probably have more luck out there. But I'm not Ferguson, I'm a Spurs fan and I hope he doesn't do it!!

Gibson getting run over in the middle. I think thats where United are looking particularly weak atm and its giving Modric all the time he wants to pick a pass.

Bit of a yawn fest so far TBH

Evra is not at the races at all today Lennon is skining him every time. Think bringing on Park to give him a hand on that side mighnt be a bad idea.

that's a fair assessment but Nani isn't helping Evra out at all

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,852 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

United well on top for the first 10 mins but its been all Spurs since, Scholes and Gibson havent got to grips with the midfield, Lennon causing alot of problems.

Dawson also having a good game. No real great chance from either side. Not a great game. All long range shots or overhit crosses.

You sure you got the right channel flicked on? This has been a decent open game played at a good pace and with incident at both ends. Above average contest imo.

Id definitly have Park on for Nani to help Evra out. Id give Wellbeck abit more time, looks like he has the beating of Dawson/King pace wise.

put some money on it he's 11-1

    not too bad actually

    put your 2.50 on it;)

I'd bring on Anderson for Scholes personally. We need a bit of fight in the middle.

Maybe Park on for Nani, I think we could do with a bit more intelligent movement up front. That said, I don't think Nani has been that bad.

all the empty sets at the far side, disgrace.

It's what happens when you have block booking tickets.
Not a single one of those seats go to the teams fans, they all go to the Wembely club or whatever it is called.

Rooney wearing a suit.... Didn't know Nike make suits like that.

    Rooney doesn't look sick

Swing and a miss no.2 for Ronaldo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,677 ✭✭✭Chong

    FFS shoulda scored that himself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Good passage of play there - but, is this ref allergic to giving out yellow cards? Gibson should definitely have been booked.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Zokora, O'Shea and Gibson should all have been booked by now.

Wow, Gibson showed some bloody impressive pace catching up with Lennon. I didn't realise he had that sort of pace.

    Bad decision by Ronaldo.

    Worst free kick ever.
