meteor mobile midband + ps3/xbox 360??

    thinking of getting the meteor broadband , looks good, nice and cheep but phoned the help desk and the dude said that their service wasn't compatible with games consoles. anyone know if this is true or is there a way to route it through your pc?

    You could use Internet connection sharing from your PC, or a wireless router with 3G modem compatibility. There have been many reported issues with getting ICS to work properly in this manner, and even ifyou can get it working, 3G midband is not really suitable for gaming, especially any FPS or RPG games. The latency is crap.

    I'm amazed that they didn't lie and sell it to your anyway. +1 for Meteor sales there.

    It's not really cheap per Gbyte. See what happens if over cap,
    It's not Broadband.
    It's not nice:
    -Disconnections/dropped sessions
    -Bad latency
    -unpredictable speed over 200:1 variation
    -May not connect


    This applies also to 02, 3 and Vodaphone mobile also to an extent to ripwave and Clearwire products.

    Get real broadband if you want online gaming. The Xbox updates would use up your mobile caps.
