Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey just a quick question which i'm wondering about:

I've never bothered with the whole "renting" a film off live, mainly because i never bother with points unless i have a specific reason for them, eg, lost and dammed.

But last night i found myself on the family guy website to try and find a release date for their season 8 dvd.... i know, its far off but i was bored.

    I then noticed this:
    bg_xboxLiveDownload.gif

    So i was like Wha?!

Then i found something better to do and came back to it today after i installed more points.

This is the link which brings you to when you click on the above image:

    http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/videos/media/313745e5-268b-492b-9285-3dcf35e6a6a6/

Episodes are as cheap as 160 points and are relatively small file sizes.

    My main questions is,
    1. Do they work to download from europe or is it an america only thing
    2. Is it another "rental" idea?
Like where you pay, download, and 24 hours after the first pressing of 'play' it deletes itself.
The xbox site isnt very helpful :(

Hopefully you guys can be :pac::D

Movies are all rental, TV shows are permanent.

TV shows are U.S. only at the moment, we only have movies over here.

Id imagine the Family guy is the same as the movie rentals. Twenty four hours from when you press start.
I think this is america only as I have never seen it on "our" marketplace.

I was thinking that, but you still have that "Download from here" option online.

Where it will process through your computer and install as soon as you boot up your xbox again?

It's not on the European store though, so if you try to buy it with a non-American account it'll say not available in your region.

A lot of it is to do with rights. Specifically, I think Sky own the rights to Family Guy and they certainly aren't going to allow Microsoft to stream episodes of it given that they are trying to promote their own Sky Anytime service.
