Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Want to keep my 120gb hard drive and plug it into a new xbox, can I just buy a regular xbox or do I need to buy another elite?

Thanks, my son just bought Halo wars this afternoon, got the red rings and it looks like it's dead.

Get in touch with Microsoft about an in warranty repair. Red Rings problem has 3 years warranty so they'd fix/replace it for free.

Yeah, heard about that but there so many stories on the web about months of waiting to get your xbox back. I don't mind the wait but it's killing me to see my son sitting with his new halo wars game and the heart gone out of him, I'd gladly pay the money for a new one if it's not too dear.

it only took me 2 weeks in total to get it sent back to me. but im sure for every good experiance with the repairs company someone has a bad one. if u want buy a new one and give me your old one:D

Months? Those are the horror stories, very few and far between from what I gather. I've sent two Xboxes back to Microsoft for repair (one mine, one other) and both times it took 7 days.

Though I can understand where you're coming from, we ended up doing the same once, and kept the second one :)

yeah, send it to microsoft. buy new one if you have to and keep the othe oner as it comes back or sell it on ebay or adverts.

If you have warranty sticker on it do not give it for fixing to anyone else than Microsoft. Even if they will tell you that they can fix it in 5 hours, 1month - 6months later you'll have rrod back, but no warranty. my 2 cents (I'm fixing them myself)

I got mine back in just over two weeks, although I had bought another replacement one by then anyway. When they then sent back a new replacement console I just donated that to the brother.
