3 Skype on Nokia E71

    Hi All,

    I bought a K770i on 3PAY for using Skype, but i also have a unlocked Nokia E71 handset, have tried the simcard in the E71 and works fine, have installed fring on the E71, can I use Fring on 3 for free it will it cost me ??

    AFAIK you will be charged a data charge for using fring (but im open to correction). To use skype for free you will need to download the 3 skype client via planet 3.

    great, any idea on the url for planet3, as when i put the 3 simcard in to the E71, it doesnt show up with planet3,

    Anyone actually have a link to the 3 Skype tool?

    Plant 3 seems to be messed up for weeks and I can't a link to it anywhere.

    Did you not try: Planet 3, services, communicate, skype? That works

    That doesn't work in all cases - with my K850i I had to go the long way round.

    Thats because your k750 is not supported by 3, if you have a 3 handset they are the steps to get to skype via planet 3 on every 3 handset.

    That didnt work for my N73.

    Just the page looks like its corrupt or missing images.
    Does the same for a few different browsers for me, and even when I use the phone as a modem for my laptop.

    It was a K850i.

    The short way didn't work.

    The long way did work.

    The short way didn't work for the poster who requested another method (he even mentioned that Planet 3 didn't work).

    The long way did.

    We know the way TechSupport say to get the app but we needed to find a roundabout way.

    The 3 TechSupport script way isn't always the answer (eg their inability to send MMS settings OTA even though SE can).
