Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do Bilbao have a lot of injuries or were they resting a lot of players?

0-0 at the Montjuic. Piss poor game to be fair. I can see it following the usual pattern of Raul scoring early in the 2nd half and Robben to seal in with about 10 mins to go :(

Aye, brutal game. Setup as you say for Real to most likely snatch it.

    2 - 0

Raul adds a second only 4mins later.

Real have the gap down to four now.

Here is a surprise as Saviola makes an appearance.

Obviously Henry is not as good as he was in his Arsenal pomp but from what I've seen of him this season he seems to have improved greatly from last seasons performances. That said, I don't watch too much La Liga so maybe I've only seen his good games. Have rumours of his demise been exaggerated?

He's been excellent this season really, 16 goals and 7 assists in 30 appearances. Better season than any of the strikers playing for arsenal at the moment anyway. ;)

The next time you are watching Super Sunday and they start giving you some rubbish about how the Premier League is the 'Best in the World' ignore them.

    Amazing half of football.

There is a game of that quality almost every week ;)

I feel absolutely ill after that. An amazing game, I thought at 3-2 Barca could have closed it out, and maintained the big 7 point gap.

I am furious with Etoo tonight. he was brutal. Absolute rubbish. 2 of Athletis goals game from him pissing away a good chance at the other end. Aside form that, he did absolutely fúck all.

All credit to Athletico, some great performances, not least from Forlan and Kun. I just hope they can be as potent in the Bernabeau at the weekend.

    Ill:(

On a side note, what a game redout had. He was there

I really have to watch La Liga more often, that was brilliant!

God bless the hangover that restricted me to lying on the couch watching football for the day:D

That was without a doubt the greatest game I have seen this season, top, top game, gwan Aguero ya daisy!

Facinating weekend again. Real for the title esp if they exit the CL early? ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,096 ✭✭✭An Citeog

Barça seem to be really feeling the pressure at the moment. Both Eto'o and Messi have gone off the boil in the last few games and the defence is nothing short of shambolic. Even Xavi's performances have dropped lately. This was a must win game for Barça and with the gap down to 4 points and Madrid on a great run in the league, the title race is definitely wide open.

Next weekend could be huge for Barça. If they can beat Athletic Bilbao at home and Atletico manage to take points off Madrid at the Bernabeu, then they'll have that nice little cushion back. 4 points is nothing in La Liga, particularly with the form Barça are in and the fact that they still have to go to the Bernabeu.
