Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Maybe this is a little reactionary, but I would place Real as favourites at the moment.

That being said, the next 5 fixtures for Barca are all very winnable, so i should hope no more points are dropped until Getafe away at least. Of course, Real play the same teams a week after Barca, so that argument is pretty moot. The Classico on the May bank holiday weekend could be one of the biggest in years in deciding the destination of the title.

Looks like Barca's wheels are coming off just at the wrong time.
Pretty similar to last season where they went off the rails after the Christmas break.
Great match tonight ,only saw the highlights as I was so fed up after watching the rubbish excuse for a match earlier (Carling Cup).

What happened witht the Atleti peno last night. It was too noisy in the stadium to hear the whistle and the players even continued playing for about good 8-10 seconds after the ref blew. The ball went out to the sideline near the box then Messi got it an ran to the centre-circle before realising play had been stopped. Was it a peno ?

I thought it was one of those decisions you might get at home but never as an away team. Must have been some game to be at. Looked great on tv. The cameras had moved on and no one thought anything had been given. It was given I think for a push in the back but I thought both players (think it was henry for barca ?) were going for the ball and both fell over. bit harsh imo. Forlan had some nerve as there was a long delay before it was taken.

It was a very harsh penalty. It was one of the linesmen awarded it. Henry was adjudged to have push over an Atleti player. But I felt both were running at the ball and it was more a collision than anything else.

Just checked RTE and they said "The referee initially chose not to give the kick but he changed his mind seemingly on advice from his assistant and Forlan ensured the opportunity was not spurned, firing his kick to the right of Valdes."
