Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ireland were beaten 13-8 by Wales in there opener.
Irish starting 5 was as follows for Wales.
Steve McDonnell, Sean McGowan, Sean Wilson, Martin McClusky and Eddie Cull. Sub is Martin Heenaghan.

We had a higher average than Wales too, ours was 76.35 to Wales 75.23.

Of the Irish team I've being at a competition recently with Sean McGowan. he beat my brother 5-0 in the final the first night in the qualifiers in Muddy Burns and averages over 80 easily in the pub. Even though he's through, he turns up every night to support other players during the qualifiers and marks the board. Haven't had a proper chat with him but he seems a good guy.

In Group B, England beat Scotland 13-7 and Scotland beat Holland13-12

Suprised Martin Heenaghan is a sub, his average is usually equal to or better than 76, but maybe he's better at small events and hasn't the experience for this one.

We lost to N.Ireland 13-6. Dunno how the scores went though. Looking through the tournament averages England and Scotland are far superior to our group, around 10 points in the averages. Daryl Fitton averaging nearly a ton.

Apparently Andy Murray of Scotland should stick to tennis, he averaged 57 against Holland.

Interestingly England and Scotland aside, Ciarribhoy and a couple of the stronger throwers on here could easily compete with most these guys. Dunno if its the pressure of the event but overall its about a 20 dart average to win a game. Very good pub darts, but not alot more.

the final will be England vs Holland. Holland beat England 13-12 in the groups to knock out Scotland.

In the semis England hammered N.Irelabd and Holland beat Wales comfortably to set up a repeat for the final.

Atm Ireland are playing Scotland for the Wooden Spoon.
