Just buy a strobe light from argos or something, theres no point in getting proffesional lighting if you have to break the bank to get it!

Cant go wrong with a spotlight and a mirrorball :P, cheap strobe as mentioned....

Maplin have a few cheapy moving lights @ about 50 euro each which would be fine for small parties, you will probably end up replacing bulbs a fair bit and they wont be the brightest.

Smoke machine are around 50 euro too now.

A half decent lazer of any decent calibibre will set you back over 300 euro, so wouldn't bother going down that route.

    Hope that helps you.

And them there are some which project galaxies and stuff.

I'd like some-at like that if ye know where i could buy them.
Been searching through the internet for the last few days looking for those things and have really failed miserably....

Just pay your kid brother to keep flicking the lightswitch on and off

Or keep waving your hand in front of a candle (white ones are VAT excempt if your concerned about cost) ..... now thats what I call old skool strobistics!

he's a poor student, he could hardly afford his own Lighting jock :P

Solar 250 is what you want, the home variety that Argos/gaget shop etc... and the likes do are sh1te, check ebay there's usually a few UK places selling them although they are NOT cheap.

You'd be better off with a DVD and a S/H projector and try to get a copy of "magic roundabout" to play on it..... just a random thought.

    today
    i got a red light(for light bulb),
two 3 light disco lights(from aldi 1/2 price 15 euro each)
and stuck on my lava lamp!

    Works out pretty well
but i'd still like some kind of graphic projected.

that solar 250 isn't quite what i'm looking for... cheers anyway it was also a bit out of my price range!
I was however chatting to someone about his friend who has this laser projection thing he said it wasn't that expensive but he doesn't know the name of it.

so however there is hope i still need help!
