    Intense hail storm just after moving through Dundalk....hail was about peanut sized at one stage and began to lye on the ground. Looks like more to come on the radar to my North...

    Temperature has fallen from 10C to 6.8C over the last 90 minutes. Frequent heavy blustery showers.

    Heavy misty rain here all afternoon, but in the last half hour wind has gone to another direction, strenghtened considrerably and the rain has become heavier with larger droplets...noticably colder feel to the air as well...7.7C...

    Spent all day washing and polishing the two cars, only for it lash with rain a hour ago..

    Hmm, I had a mate call round to me about 9.30 last night saying that he reckoned there'd been gusts of 70-80mph over his way (lennonstown manor) and that he'd seen 2 wheelie bins picked up by the wind and blown sideways down the street.
    Stuck on the radio this morning and LMFM news was reporting that some kind of "mini-tornado" had caused some damage to the racecourse at around about that time, blowing down hoardings, the stalls and some other stuff. Estofex did mention a very small risk of rotating updrafts as that cold front moved through and looking at the radar, the squall line did look like what you see when we get reports of these things...
