Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

    I am considering buying a VW T4 Autosleeper Trident or similar. Hope to purchase a lowish mileage 91 or 92 example privately in the UK. Hope to get 2.4 diesel version in preference to the 1.9.
    Will opt for a High Roof version to avail of the cheaper VRT and the Camper road tax.
    (Has anyone appealed the VRT ruling on 1.8m height ruling or is there any discretion on the part of the Revenue Official in how it is implemented ???)

    Any suggestions, help or hints re. my proposed plans such as

    VW T4 as a base vehicle.
    Autosleeper conversion
    2.4 diesel 5 cylinder reliability issues.
    Possible VRT on a 92 Autosleeoer Trident (see attachment) (13% of €9000 = €1170)

    I had a few van conversions some years ago in the early days of motorcaravanning in Ireland and have great memories of the camraderie amongst fellow campers. I am looking forward to getting involved again.
    Any advice will be appreciated.

    My base vehicle is a 2001 T4 with a 2.5 TDi.

    The bodywork is a 6.1m overcab coachbuilt. I find it reliable with plenty of power.
