Snow? That's one of those Dublin things, right? Snow only lasts a few hours around here anyway. Probably one of the positive effects of Global Warming? :)

The forecast is crazy 'chance of snow on highground'
It's blizzard like in Cork right now and has been all morning. Reports that the Mitchelstown bypass is virtually closed. C'mon Met Eireann please yes it's not snowing in Dublin but the South has got plenty

    Truly unreal now in cork
    heavy heavy snow:D

Heavy shower here now; Blue Stacks. Sky dark with it.

2-3 inches in places but the road is thawed.

    Very pretty indeed:)

Drove through Mitchelstown this morning. Probably 4 inches of snow - took 1 hour to get through the town (2miles). Then 10 miles north it dissapeared. No snow at all in Cahir.

Nothing either now in Sligo town. Any snow that stuck, melted very quickly.

had an inch and a half this morning but it's all gone now. any showers from now on will be crappy rain or sleet. so hopefully the showers will continue overnight and turn back to snow!

    forecast from nw.
During the day, a secondary low pressure system will spin across Ireland and then southeast toward southern England, as it does it will serve to really pep up and organise the showers, with some very squally and thundery downpours (of rain, sleet and snow) likely to run through Ireland this afternoon and into southern England and Wales during the evening and overnight.

could be interesting but this evening and tonight looks good at the moment for us lads in the east.we'll wait and see.
