Why haven't my winter cabbage grown ?

Hi everyone I planted winter cabbage & cauliflower plants in September. Although some were chewed into lace by slugs, about 6 plants survived, however they haven't grown much since. Does anyone know why this is ? Thanks Maryxyz

It could be that they are not getting enough nitrogen.
