    (Korean for Start/begin :))

    Right, first thing's first. Hi :) No idea if I'm even doing this log thing right but... here goes! ( any/all help/advice accepted!)

    Background: Complete newbie to running. All my sports background is martial arts... I trained for about 8 years in Karate, and am currently training in ITF Taekwon-do for the last year and a half. Never really been too happy with my stamina so I figured a bit of running might help the aerobic fitness. :)

    Goal: C25K. For a start anyway :) After that...we'll see where it takes me.

    Complication: Leaving cert in June...Oh Sh!t. Hopefully I can get fit and study well at the same time.... :eek:

    Training starts now:

    01/03/09 - C25K Day One

    As per c25k, brisk 5 min warmup walk, alternate 60 sec running / 90 sec walking for 20 mins total, 5 min cool down walk.

    Total distance covered: 4.46km
    Time: 31 minutes

    Lots of martial arts to running cross-overs here!

    <wonders if running would be a good basis to start off doing martial arts, then realizes leaving cert was more than 20 years ago, and groans and puts on runners > :)
