Wtf is Phil Laak at with the Aces!? Seriously, does anybody have any justification for it beyond him being a clown?

Also, that Meltzer guy is terrible and terribly ugly - a poor combination.

Dunno, I thought the call with K high against Durr's bluff was pretty good.

Mike Baxter got pummelled at that table every time he got involved, almost felt sorry for him!

Think most of the players would have called with the k high. Durr looked like he knew it was a ridic bet but couldnt help himself literally nearly laughing. I cant imagine he checks three streets with any hand tbf.

in Laak's defense he has a seat from hell. you wont find many people who could hold their own in that seat.

Regardless of his table position, that was a stupid bet. He doesn't have any defence IMO.

I actually enjoy Phil laaks ramblings etc, makes me laugh sometimes (when esfandiari's not there). He's obv scared money though

agreed. Baxter was a bad combination of tightness, tilt and bad timing. he reminded me of me

and Laaks AA hand was prob the stupidest thing in the entire series, though in fairness, he knew it straight away

don't think the 99 fold was too bad

Laak should not be allowed back on the show after that display. He embarrassed and humiliated himself with a series of terrible plays. The AA one was one of the worst moves I've ever seen.

Laak seems afraid to get into a hand with Durr. Negreanu has lost his confidence by the looks of things. Esfandieri did nothing either.

Doyle is still a class act imo, he loosened up a little in the last episode. The 11th episode is the best one of the series imo. I like Eli too. Tom Dwan came in hot but maybe the guys have copped on to him now. I'd like to see a lot more hands between him and Doyle or Eli.
Antonius is the best by a mile imo.
Where is Sammy Farha? He was great to watch in them games.

Phil Laak should be ashamed of himself, Durr isnt having a great session.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,337 ✭✭✭Wombatman

That AA bet from Laak was the worst play I've ever seen on TV Poker. This guy is like a house hold name in the poker world and not some donk who luck boxed his way to a WPT final table.
You know your game is in a bad place when Doyle is taking the piss out of ya. (JJ vs Durrs 88)

Laaks AA move wasnt even close to being the worst play on that episode.

Its retardville central, Baxter and Jabba are fcuking awful.

Just too bad nobody called it or raised it. Sheer comedy value right there if they had :pac:

this is the point, he could only, only ever be doing that with AA or possibly KK. it fully was the worst play of the episode, if not the season

    Whos the viffer guy?
Baxter is just lol...Laak is even bigger looooool....scared money imo

i'd like to think laak doesn't give a **** and is trying to just gain exposure and not lose much in the process. otherwise i've lost all hope in the world.

did you guys not remember him saying "can't wait for the slagging on the internet forums"........
i think he might have made the move on purpose...?

but also agree he looks like scared money...

Yeah I also think he gave up potentially getting 500k over the line with aces so he could read himself get slagged on internet forums...

Plenty of bad moves but to get AA and play it like that is really really awful.

Is this being shown/ going to be shown on tv guys?

Viffer and his rabbit ears "joke".
Someone should punch him repeatedly in the face for that.
