Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where to shoot - Dublin

Okay, as a reward for winning our family's Photographer of the Year award at Christmas, the nephews prize is to come up to Dublin for a weekend of photography and film-making (ahem!).

Apart from dragging him around the galleries (he's 13), or packing him off to the cinemas - has anybody got any suggestions for what might be a both fun AND interesting [my personal suggestion: an afternoon of architectural photography. Not sure the kids would find that anything but bloody boring though]

    Any help appreciated!

    Zoo is always good.

Botanic Gardens are good too - birds, squirrels, etc never mind the flowers.

    Nephew, 13 you say?

Grafton Street on Saturday afternoons at that age was great. Pity you can't take a camera into Dundrum..............:D

I'd say Dublin Zoo, or else a sporting event of some description if he's into that.
Dun Laoghaire Pier is great at dusk.

lf you decide on the Zoo then you have to make a stop in The Phoinex Park to see the wild deer.

Guinness SH has a great panoramic of the city from the sky bar, great for filming or photo's..you could nearly do both in one day, but get to Zoo earley as the Q could be off putting.. Have a nice day whatever you decide.
