Eircom Reconnection Fee

    Just moved in to a house with a phone line. However I need to reconnect it. Could you tell me what the cost for reconnection to eircom for line rental is?

    Reconnection is free. It used to cost around 120 euro but no more. Whether this is just a special offer or a change in policy I don't know, but I got reconnected in January at no charge.

    It's not free unless you sign up to direct debit.I'm getting the phone back into the house and as soon as I get my number and details its bye bye Eircom after the trouble I had with them and billing before.

    Why do they sign you up for direct debit can i ask? What is it for/cost?
