Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great run from Gerrard to get on the end of that cross.

N'Gog, yes! Great hustle initially in the middle from Gerrard to help win it back. Then Riera stands up a great cross which Gerrard gets on the end of from a super run - slightly scuffed header and slightly scuffed finish. But I couldn't give a ****!! :D

Pushign it a touch maybe?:) I'd have backed Pepe Reina to stick that in.

Goal aside, this is easily N'Gog's most impressive display for us so far. He actually is showing some nice touches and decent athleticism. Loooooooong way to go before I would start shouting for his inclusion, but this is better.

Agreed, I like the cut of this lad's jib

Arrrgghh, Super slided pass from Riera sticks Insua free on the left. He has N'Gog and Kuyt arriving in the middle but misses them with a driven cross. A chance...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

Lovely break but wrong decision from Insua to go for goal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,233 ✭✭✭darkskol

Skittles lucky to get away with that

Unfortuantely the running with his head down and just whackign things (he hit a defender a foot away with the ball a minute ago. I could see as soon as he got the ball it was going nowhere) ruin it for me.

Rafa pushing for a big win. Lucas coming on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Riera should have had a third tbh. Nice to get a cheap one at home - haven't been too many of them this season.

N'Gog off, Lucas on. Don't mind that at 2 - 0. Plus N'Gog has been looking tired the last 10 mins.

I'd prefer him to send on El Zhar and let him run around and get at them with no pressure.

Wonder was Ngog's 'cramp' more of a muscle strain ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,233 ✭✭✭darkskol

Just hope the Lucas substitution doesn't knock the current momentum out of Liverpools play

Best way to win on this stuff is to avoid punting on first score markets. ;)

first half was shít, and I think Sunderland had marginally the best of it.

Liverpool showing they are a class above in the second half though.

Got two fairly easy goals, but created the chances, so not to take away from that aspect of it.

It will be a deserved win.

We've given the same West Ham, Fulham, Stoke type performance with the difference that we took the first clearcut opening. Well on top now.

N'Gog's goal was a tap in and he maybe showed a lack of vision a couple of times (as noted by Ste earlier). But I felt it was his most promising display for us yet - some nice moments with a couple of classy touches and decent hustling.

Looks like Lucas has gone midfield with Stevie pushing up front

the big plus for me tonight is another good showing by insua.......saw him at the u-20 world cup for argentina anD he was fantastic tbh. I said this before but gary ablett said he wasnt ready, well insua has more football in him than ablett could ever dream of and i saw his whole reds career.

It should be clear now that dossena was a complete waste if it wasnt clear before.
