Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi everyone, The lads are organising a 32 county pub-crawl over a 3day weekend. The plan is to have a pint in every county in Ireland in 3 days. Can anyone recommend towns or villages which have a pub which is pretty much on the border of 3-4 counties??? Appreciate any help!!

If you haven't already, take out a map and trace the shortest route though all counties.
Then check what villages/towns are close to the route and go to those?

Edit; this thread could be useful http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=57629349
Particularly this map I think http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm86/eamonnk/ireland.gif

Burly, did you guys get this going yet??? Would you believe that myself and a group of mates are doung the same thing - were heading off on the weekend of 17-19 July, starting and finishing in Drogheda.

We were looking at going up through the North and staying over in Sligo on the 1st night, then down the whole west side of the country on the Saturday, staying in Cork, home via Leinster on the 3rd day.

    Any tips????

I reckon i have it lads, if i'm goin with my buddies, then we will be starting in Dublin and finishing in Maynooth. Or else start in Kildare and Finish in Dublin
    Day 1
Dublin Wicklow Wexford Carlow Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Clare, Tipperary. Stay in somewhere like Thurles that night.
    Day 2
Laois, Offaly, Galway, Westmeath, Longford, Roscommon, Malo, Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal. Stay in Bundoran.
    Day 3
Fermanagh, Derry, Tyrone, Armagh, Antrim, Down, Louth, Monaghan, Cavan, Meath, Kildare.Stay in Maynooth.

Thats the only decent possible route i could work out, hope all goes well lads..

Certainly the biggest pain in the a$$ with this trip has been trying to do the route in a way that obviously hits every county but also keeps the journey time down as much as possible!

    Mine is....

    Day 1:

Start in Drogheda (Louth), Cavan, Monaghan, Armagh, Down, Antrim, Derry, Tyrone, Fermanagh, Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo

    Day 2:

Mayo, Roscommon, Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Galway, Limerick, Clare, Kerry

    Day 3:

Cork, Tipp, Waterford, Kilkenny, Wexford, Carlow, Laois, Wicklow, Kildare, Dublin, Meath, Louth

That way I keep the bus time down to approx 6.5 to 7 hrs a day (still a lot!) but do-able!
