Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was at the Mervue vs. Athlone match.

Mervue are going to go straight back down if they dont improve quickly.
Athlone only won by one goal but really they should have had about 6.
Emeka playerd really well on the right and kevin williamson was brilliant on the left, noel mcgee and place did a good job upfront.

place was wrongly flagged offside about 4 times, twice when he was clear on goal, the lines man had an absolute shocker.

Oh and Damien Rushe missed a penalty, which is very un like him.

Des would never have used ghey euphemisms like "effing" and 'C'.

Well hopefully we have a few players back. We were missing about five or six through injury and suspension on friday. Kenna and Pesch even had to register themselves as players, so low were the numbers in the squad.
Still no excuse for that shambles of a performance.

Shouldn't take away from Galway though. I thought they played some decent football and deserved the three points!
Galway have very little in the way of quality outside of the first 11. Extremely young squad, with 3 of the back 4 new to the team. One of the the 3 is even new to being a defender. The fourth only being a young lad himself. Centre midfield full of inexperience and lads who have yet to prove themselves. No proper striker either, just doesn't pose enough of a threat.
