Someone I know has received a civil summons by the Phonographic Performance (Ireland) Limited saying they owe them money, starting from quite a few years ago. It snowballed into huge a sum now, and it's pretty obvious giving the state of the economy why they only now decided to get serious. Does anyone have any opinions on…

Are PPI a legal body or a vapid organisation of chancers? Like to get other people's take on this.
