Someone I know has received a civil summons by the Phonographic Performance (Ireland) Limited saying they owe them money, starting from quite a few years ago. It snowballed into huge a sum now, and it's pretty obvious giving the state of the economy why they only now decided to get serious. Does anyone have any opinions on where they stand? Are PPI a legal body or a vapid organisation of chancers? Like to get other people's take on this.
