Internet not working on eircom

    Just about a half an hour ago my router couldnt connect to the net.
    Basically i restart the router and the ethernet light comes up, and the dsl light comes on but the internet light just stays red.

    I can connect to the touer but it just says ip 0.0.0.0 or constantly loads trying to log in with the eircom name and password.

    Whats going on

    i've been having problems since monday.

    internet connection only lasts a minute or two.

    i am an eircom customer but i bought my own router.

    what kind does eircom use - is it netopia [i have a netgear so eircom won't help]

    the one i got from them is a netopia 2247.

    did you try resetting the modem

    Yeah i resetted it.

    Well i just came back from the net cafe and seems to be working. Just weird coz that never happened before, thought maybe we were cut off.

    i eircom broadband went down around 11pm last night am in waterford,working fine this morning.
