Turf "dross"

    Not sure if this is the correct place for this.

    We have "inherited" a shed of old turf.

    Under the top layer it has disintegrated and we wonder if it is possible to make some kind of fuel bricks easily.

    Such a waste else.

    If you cannot make a form to make your own briquettes, you can always spread it over soil and mix or use as a base material for veg/raised bed?

    The raised beds are an excellent idea, given that we cannot dig.

    Already mixing it, and with sand etc, for containers.

    There is so much of it though.

    One of these might help you turn the broken turf into a useable brick for the fire. You would have to soak the turf, press into the mould then take the formed brick and the leave to dry - that is time consuming and takes up a good bit of space - but could be worthwhile if you have the time.
