New Society: UCC Atheists!

    Hi,

    Just like to inform the UCC students that a new society has opened in town:

    The UCC Atheists Society

    A society for the rational students of UCC and to help promote Atheism and discuss religion and secular thought.

    There will be many events organised throughout the following year, and more information can be found at the website:

    www.ucc-sass.com

    There also exists a forum on there, and people are welcome to join if they so wish. If any religious would like to air their views on the site, they should, as debate is fully welcomed!

    The AGM was launched last night and had considerable success. We would like to suggest that if you are interested, you can come along to some of the events organized. We are a small society at the moment, so getting to know people should be fairly easy especially for the First Years.

    Wow, UCC is now the only university in Ireland that carries out innovative stem-cell research, AND now the first to have an Atheist Society...hows that for a two-fingers to religious hypocrisy! :)
