I'd have a look at the newbie section, and the retailer one, theres a map of skirmish sites somewhere too.

Have a good read of all the info and you'll be well informed.

Hey there and welcome. There is a new Airsoft club opening in the South East in the next few weeks. The forums can be found at http://forum.seairsoft.net/index.php.

Membership is open to everyone, it costs just 200 Euro for a year. Skirmishing will be every Saturday and Sunday. That is a bargain considering how you will pay at least 25 per day for a walk on.

This thread by Rhinocharge can explain better than I ever could.

Membership sign up is closing on Friday the 20th of March . They wont be opening again for another year. So if you are at all interested have a nose around the site before its too late.

Right now it is pretty much good to go, there are enough members on board to get us started. But the more the merrier, it will mean we can put more money towards the site.

Personally I cant wait, this will be the first time I get to skirmish. So I get to feel like I haven't wasted all this money on gear :p

    Again welcome (back) to Airsoft.

Edit:- The closest skirmish site at the moment would be in Cork and there are a good few in Dublin. This site is located on White Mountain near New Ross.

White Mountain. I'm not 100% sure, but I think its somewhere between New Ross and Enniscorthy. Its definitely around the New Ross area. I haven't been to the site yet, I've just seen the pictures.

Cappa1 make sure you register on www.seairsoft.net/forum and get your questions in there. You'll be about 30-40 minutes from the site and the guys in Seairsoft are good enough to give members nice discounts on gear we buy. €200 isnt a lot when you collect all you kit and then get to use it. All equipment MUST be under 1 joule and it will be tested onsite.

Joule is the unit of energy....
1 joule in airsoft terms is a aeg bb travelling at 328 fps (feet per second) when you shoot with a 0.20g (gramme) bb. Any more is illegal.

Try look at some threads an find out this info for yourself too. Its quicker.
