Doe's anyone know how to tell the age of a Marlin 55,12 bore, goose gun 36in barrell. I know they were made from 1962 to 1997, but I would like to know the exact age. Thank's in advance.

I'd say your gun dealer would be able to tell you by the last few number or letters of the serial number.
