Hi I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a Guitar teacher for a child starting from scratch and maybe her Dad (ie, me)? In South/West Dublin area - ie, Citywest, Clondalkin, Tallaght, Lucan. Also, where is the best value place to get two suitable guitars?? Thanks a lot!

My suggestion would be to pick up some decent secondhand guitars through Buy and Sell or the like. No point spending loads on fancy instruments when you're just starting out.

I live near your area but play classical guitar (grade 3 going for grade 5)...nylon strings are easier on the fingers especially for kids
