Good deals on hotel gym / swimming pool?

Hello, I have "heard" (ie not backed up by any hard evidence) that some hotels are willling to haggle and drop their prices or shorten the minimum joining period - does anyone know of anywhere that has done this? I'm looking to get in shape for the summer, but don't want to join a gym or pool for a full year - 3 months…
