Here it is on the wrist (and on a NATO).

This is a generic strap that the seller included. The OEM one is disappointing - it's not a proper NATO/G10 with the second piece that secures the watch. It's just a one-piece nylon strap with integrated spring bars.

I have not checked out the bracelet yet, I assume it's the same as the Black Bay - which is a very good one, but I think this watch looks better on a NATO.

The watch itself is finished as well as expected - a few nice touches like the black crown and stoppers. For a chrono, the dial is relatively uncluttered - glad they didn't go down the new Pelagos route, with a paragraph of text.

Keeping up with the recent Seiko theme, I took the Pogue to the seaside at the weekend.

The Sumo is an awesome watch, I think this will be the fourth one that I have owned. I always regretted selling my blumo to you and the amount of times I thought to myself I am going to ask him to sell it back to me.

Last time we met you said you had sold it on to a buddy..... bummer :(

Sumos are the best value for money watch ever. I'll have to try post mine someday.

Yep. And every time I see it on him I get sellers remorse :o
They are just hard to find at a decent price!

Another rebuy for me, the last one I owned also went to Homer. Didn't need a dressy watch then and it just never got worn, the older I get the more occasions I need one.

So my latest arrival is the stunning SARB065, straight on to the blue strap that never seems to find a home.

    128 delivered from AM-Watches.

I could have probably bought the individual pieces and assembled it for cheaper but I'm lazy and didn't want to do the searching for the bits.

Might be a silly question but are am watches the makers or sellers only?

    A reseller based in Germay.

You can customise your order from them (dial type, case style, bezel style and strap) or order some standard models.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,919 ✭✭✭hitemfrank

Also, I feel I must point out that the communication from AM-Watches is really bad.

I never got a notification that my order had been processed or shipped and despite coming by registered mail, no tracking number.

My order is still showing as processing on their site.

I don't like the AM dials, just the vostok ones. Yours is a great design

I know these are considered fashion watches and not "real time pieces" but these Hugo Boss watches were an itch I had to scratch since I started looking. I wouldn't buy em new as after researching they are only worth about half the price they seek for new.

Thankfully I got each one for circa €40 second hand on eBay and they are in mint condition, so if I knock a few years out of each one I'll be happy :) Might move onto Vostok when I know more about watches then and they seem my style, but very happy with what I've picked up for now :)

That white boss has a touch of grand Seiko about it. You did right getting them cheap they don't hold value, but of course, wear and buy what you like! Make yerself happy.

Yep that's teh only reason I got em, I wouldn't have even been comfortable paying €60 a piece apparently a 200 one new is about 120 brand and the equivalent of a 70/80 watch after advise here and other forums

Normally don’t buy fashion watches but wanted a smart watch that didn’t look like an Apple Watch so got this Hugo boss one Not sure if I prefer it on black or green strap though

I don't really care for the snobbery about "fashion" watches. Are they the best possible value for money? No, but neither are some sainted brands.

Apart from some particularly bad brands, they're often put together well enough, and like those Boss watches, look pretty good.

Father in laws 60th end of this month and the missus didn't know what to get so i suggested a watch. Picked up this nice Tissot automatic in hour passion kildare village. Good value over there and they are willing to deal too.
