Hi, i've heard of a card that you can buy which is an alternative to a credit card. It can be used to buy things online etc. but is operated by putting credit onto it rather than borrowing from it. Does anyone know the name of such a card, where to get one or how much it costs? thanks

    Could use a 3v card https://www.3v.ie/

    Or

Halifax Debit Card - accepted anywhere that has the Visa logo. It uses your current account funds.

Hi this thread is probably dead.
Anyway | bought a media player off a crook from abay from Hong Kong.
It turns out it was a total piece of ****.
    So I sent it back.
    They agreed to refund me.
    They never refunded me.
    I told Wirecard about it.
They did nothing to help me.
So I'm out by about 50 euros.
Is there any altenative to Wirecard I can use?
The reason I was using wirecard is I don't have a credit card and I don't intend to get one so it was my only known choice.
Is there any decent alternative to wirecard?
I won't go with the 3v cards because they're a complete rip off.
    Please help now anyone.

3.50 every time I put money on it and charges everytime I use it to buy something aswell.
Yikes I think I'd be better off staying with Wirecard than that.

Ulster Bank have a visa debit card, acts like a normal credit card but the funds come directly from your bank account.

What's Moneybookers then, an optical illusion?

You neglect to mention this 'Expression' Card is branded by and linked to RubyCard, AFAIK there is a thread on them here with some less than flattering reviews.

A rose by any other name...

Got an Expression Card myself last week. It is a great product and has more to offer than 3V. You can avoid the €3.50 loading fee by putting money onto the card through your banking online or in branch at any AIB. Great way to shop online and to avoid the Ryanair €10 booking fee.
